Cris Cyborg’s title not at stake after Ketlen Vieira misses weight

Cris “Cyborg” Justino’s feather‑weight world title bout at the Professional Fighters League (PFL) event in Tampa on Saturday will no longer be contested for the championship after her scheduled opponent, Ketlen Vieira, failed to make the required weight limit. The fight, originally billed as a title defense for the Brazilian veteran, will proceed as a non‑title bout following the weigh‑in results.

PFL officials confirmed that Vieira’s excess weight disqualified the contest from being a championship match, and the organization will enforce the standard penalties for missing weight, including a fine and a portion of her purse being awarded to Cyborg. The change does not affect the fighters’ contracts or the overall card, and the bout will still be featured as part of the league’s regular season schedule.
